I feel it in my bones…

Ever since I was a small child, I can remember wanting to help. I feel the need to help in my bones. Help in the kitchen, help my dad and brother work on their cars and trucks, help friends to feel better. I volunteered as a candy striper at the local hospital and at a local daycare, all before I hit high school. I remember thinking that I needed to do more, to be more, to help others. I had a dream of being a photographer and somehow using it in other countries, I had no idea how or what, but my gut told me this should be what I do with my talent and skills. While I have not done that just yet, I try to find ways in my own community to help where I can. I share these, in case you are in need of such help, assistance, or need to be connected to somehow else who can help. Have an idea? Send it over, I will do what I can!

Cancer sucks.

We all know that cancer sucks. And that is putting it lightly. While I have no way of curing it, I can offer some support and love and distraction to those who are being treated for it, or are supporting loved ones being treated. I am honored to be able to gift the following: family sessions to any family going through the ups and downs of cancer; helping to tell your story of your journey, through spending time with you at home or at the hospital/treatment center, documenting this time in your life; boudoir session for women under going treatment or have recently finished treatment and are looking for a reason to celebrate!

Let’s heal.

Too many of us have been hurt. Maybe you were bullied, maybe abused. Maybe you went through some kind of traumatic event. Whatever your story, you deserve to continue on the path to healing and happiness. I offer a select number of healing sessions per month, you may nominate yourself (no shame in that!) or someone you love. We will set up a special healing portrait session and plan it together.

Let’s rescue.

I LOVE animals. There are probably none that I do not love. I am a firm believer in rescues. My family and I currently have two adorable rescue pups and three rescue cats. We do what we can to support small shelters that need a little help keeping their organization going, so if you know of a shelter in need, please get in touch.

Celebrating Adoption!

Families come in all shapes and sizes and by different means. But, family is family and family deserves to be celebrated. If you have adopted a child in the last year and would like a celebrating adoption session, drop me a line!

I have served on the board for doula and postpartum organizations, volunteered with midwives and WIC, and have started a small organization to help get supplies to homeless street souls. If you have or know of a need, please let me know.
